Kim Kardashian, Kate Moss, Graphic Armor Condoms; Latex Rules!

Was last week “Worldwide Celebrate Latex Week” and we missed it? As we reported Kim Kardashian stepped out in Australia in two different Atsuko Kudo outfits; Kate Moss attended the 60th B’day bash for Sir David Tang in a skin-tight black latex dress; Graphic Armor announced a new campaign for their latex condoms and radio D.J. ‘shock jock’ Kyle Sandilands showed his stunning model girlfriend Imogen Anthony off in her long black latex dress. (I also refer you to our first of main blogs this week about the famous Pirelli calendar and all the latex within it)

Our favorite material has been busy of late!

There’s no denying the long slide into mainstream fashion latex has managed. And now that it’s ‘in’, it’s not soon going to go anywhere it seems. And really why should it? As we have all known for so long latex is perfect to wear just about anywhere (just see the list of events we report on where latex is the dress code of the weekend!) Whether you’re sporting curves or tight long lines, latex works wonders for complimenting one’s frame, setting a mood and holding in the sweet heat.

As to its use in ‘safe sex’ practices, this recent Graphic Armor™ campaign offers their FDA-approved condoms with images, words, slogans and “tats” printed directly onto their condoms. The company ran a Tattoo Condom Design Contest that garnered 164 designs from 33 countries (with 31,875 votes culled.) Parisian designer Britta Uschkamp was the winner of the contest, with over 10,00o votes. Her winning floral-centric ‘Fleurs-2-Bite will be printed on Graphic Armor’s premium latex condoms. Of course, customers can always go to Graphic Armor anytime and create custom condoms, see here234B702B00000578-2840866-image-175_1416402929469[1]

Will we see more latex worn-and shown-this week as Thanksgiving approaches the U.S. and lots of men and women might be too stuffed to slide into their favorite catsuits? Only time and the ever-changing mood of fashion can tell.

Stay tuned.
