Ah, Halloween Costuming 2014: The Sexy Ebola Containment Suit

1414328789985_Image_galleryImage_Item_Details_As_the_deadlThe last thing anyone can seem to decide on is, what’s sexy. We try all the time ourselves to present what we feel are the most arresting and provocative images of models in latex couture. But alluring, ‘hot’, kinky, downright sexy is all in the eyes of the beholder. Things get stretched even further to this subjective pov when one mixes the controversial with the sexual (deliberately or not) as the decidedly trending, maybe sexy, certainly controversial Sexy Ebola Containment Suit costume makes its presence known this Halloween.

Twitter has been blazing with the erroneous claim that this is being called a “Sexy Ebola Nurse” (or Dr.) costume, but still, linking the words ‘sexy’ with ‘Ebola?’ The add for the costume claims: ‘As the deadly Ebola virus trickles its way through the United States, fighting its disease is no reason to compromise style.’ But one wonders if good taste should prevail or if the designers here are at least traipsing into the comedy never-never land of making sport of something way too soon from when that thing happened (and in the case of the Ebola spread, still happening.) The description of the outfit hints at an even more fashionable reason to buy: “The short dress and chic gas mask will be the talk of Milan, London, Paris, and New York as the world’s fashionistas seek global solutions to hazmat couture.’

See it here.

And of course there is a male version as well (see here) it’s not  as sexy though.ebola-containment-suit-costume-4

Lots of people weighing in on the merits of this particular costume and just what is and isn’t sexy are pointing out the close resemblance to the Breaking Bad costume so popular last year.

We Are Here To Hear

The kinky endeavors of pirates sailing on this sea we call life to bring a little sparkling naughtiness to their day leads one to many a diversion and…to be blunt, it’s about all anyone of us can do to get-off these days! Especially if one happens to be tickled by latex, if leather and lace spikes your libido or a tight-fitting gas mask on you or your lover (or one for each of you) is going to do it, you might have to search a bit to get your groove on. We try here at Von Gutenberg to explore our lifestyle’s needs but who is to say what is specifically arousing to you, what might be the one kinky event or party of the year that’s going to get you up off the couch and dressed, what designer is going to just happen to make the outfit you have to have or what story or essay you read is going to set your tail feathers awagging?

We really have no clue what’s on any one individual’s mind so we try to cover as many bases as we can without whittling ourselves down too thin and at the same time writing about, photographing, listing in our fantasy event list and offering for sale, stuff that “gets our ghost” as ole P.J. Soles said in the original Halloween. It’s just not possible to be all things to all lifestylers but we hope we can interest as many of you as we can and that maybe a doorway will be cracked open from your reading about a wild party or some naughty event, that you will get off over one of our marquis world renown designers or you will come to fantasize over one of our many models…really it’s the least we can hope for. First and foremost we produce the magazine because we are, like you, interested in all this ‘stuff’ and we just hope that you come along for the ride.

God knows there would be no ride without you!

Really, use the links below to drop us a line from time to time, email us and leave comments too. Erik and I personally respond to every piece of mail that comes through and we do want to know what you think.

We hope you know we are here for you and as such want to hear from you.

Von Gutenberg Weekly toy review Blackstyle

reviewbannerErik von Gutenberg recommends the weekly toy review with Mistress Darkniis. She knows the toys as no other and we are proud to have her on the blog reviewing toys & accessories!

Blackstyle – Anatomical Latex Dog Mask

Blackstyle is well known internationally for their latex designs and latex bondage. They have sent us their anatomical latex dog mask for review.

This is a very heavy duty piece made of 1.20mm black latex – molded into the shape of the dog.

This particular piece is available in three different versions – the regular version, one with a back zipper, and one with a back zipper and a built on slave collar. Of course they also sell the leash and the dog tail; and puppy tail rubber butt plugs to go with the mask for your complete puppy play set.

There is an option to have the eyes and/or the mouth open and closed when you are completing your order.

Your latex pup will love wearing this hood for play sessions – no risk of tearing and the heavy duty molding ensures that the hood will retain its shape no matter what.

A suggestion from a long time rubberist friend of mine is to wear a very thin latex hood and shine it with a silicone lube to make it nice and slippery – the heavier hoods and gas masks will slip over your head much easier and not grab or pull hair!

With a little imagination and your gear from Blackstyle your next rubber puppy play session is sure to be a huge success!
